June 22, 2007 - End o' week 1 report! :)

I am in Mokono again, we came this morning to work on some stuff for the office (I am going to help them with their website! volsetuganda.tripod.com ) then we went up to Kampala today to go to the bank and do a little bit of shopping. It was a lot of fun, we got to meet a lot of Erin's Peace Corps friends too.

Tomorrow I am going white water rafting!!!!! While we were in the internet cafe this morning, some GVN (Global Volunteer Network) girls came in (that I had met earlier this week) and invited me to go with them. I am terrified because I have heard a lot about the kind of rafting that they have here, but I am also very excited. I was planning on having a quiet weekend in Mokono-just hanging out, reading, and enjoying the electricity (and fridge!), but this sounds like a lot more fun!!! :)
