The Rainbow Trout(Oncorhynchus mykiss)

Rainbow Trout varygreatly in size and appearance. There are many different races and subspecies. Generally they have a pink lateral stripe and small black speckles on the sides, back, fins and tail.

Rainbow Trout that migrate to the ocean are called Steelhead. They are more silvery in color.
