June 15, 2007 - I am not sure what "time" I am on anymore

June 17th Entebbe 8:30ish - Muzungo (which means white person)
June 18th 2007 Ntenjeru 7:00pm - no electricity kinda limits the extent of activities
June 19th 2007 7am Ntejeru - I am writing this by flashlight
June 20, 2007 Ntenjeru - Then I was named Nantongo (Nan-toe-n-go)
June 21 ~ 7am Ntenjeru - Wasuzeotya! Good morning!
June 22, 2007 - End o' week 1 report! :) - enjoying the electricity (and fridge!)
June 25, 2007 ~ Mokono Town - I'd choose a clean latrine and no cockroaches over the internet and fridge

July 20, 2007 - Buy all heavy things at the end of the trip-not at the beginning
July 21, 2007 - Then I threw up. A lot.
July 22 2007 - an entire
herd of Baboons walked across the parking lot
July 23, 2007 - I have 35 days left and one pair of underwear
July 25 2007 - Dinner of champions (that don’t know how to cook and are on a budget)
July 26 2007 - “beach boys” (no, not like the band)
July 27, 2007 - Kenya - 30 HOUR ride from Mombasa. Man, my butt is sore.
July 27, 2007 - there is no way I'd pay to use your crappy toilet
July 29 2007 - they said it was free because I was a friend
July 30 2007 - taxi-turned-prisoner-transport
The rest of Stacie's journal had technical difficulties and didn't make it back from Africa. She had a bittersweet departure; sad to leave her new friends but happy to go home, got on the plane, then arrived home safely.
When Stacie got back everyone wanted to know about her experience so we had a presentation for her at our local community hall. This was the invitation that we sent out:
